CNC Mill Machinist

Rhine Machining is hiring a CNC Mill Machinist for our Kiel, WI shop — 1st shift. You’ll set up, program, and run CNC mills on a variety of precision parts, working from blueprints to hold tight tolerances. Since 1996, we’ve built precision turned and milled components — in steel, stainless, aluminum, and plastics — for OEMs and contract manufacturers in the dairy equipment, agriculture, construction, medical device, and restaurant equipment industries.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC mills to produce parts to blueprint specifications
• Write and edit original CNC mill programs
• Read and interpret blueprints to plan tooling, fixturing, and machining processes
• Inspect finished parts against customer specs using standard measuring tools
• Complete accurate, on-time production paperwork for each job
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mills and related equipment
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safety-compliant
• Train and mentor other machinists as needed

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years of CNC machining experience on mills, or a certificate/degree from a technical machining program
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Comfortable using a computer to look up and log production data
• Solid math skills — whole numbers, fractions, and decimals across all units of measure
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
• Willingness to follow all safety procedures and company policies

Nice to Have

• Prior experience specifically running 5 Axis CNC mills
• Forklift experience
• Experience training or mentoring other machinists

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs/ladders
• Close visual focus for inspecting small parts and reading measurements
• Comfortable wearing required PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots)

Work Environment

You’ll work on an active manufacturing floor around moving machinery, with some exposure to noise, dust, and fumes typical of a machine shop.
