This position addresses the challenge of unifying privacy standards across diverse lines of business and ensuring compliance with evolving federal and state privacy laws. By serving as a trusted advisor to IT, engineering, and business teams, the role mitigates organizational risk and translates complex regulatory requirements into actionable cross-functional processes. Additionally, the position drives program oversight through automated vendor tools, ad-tech audits, and privacy impact assessments to safeguard consumer data.What Success Looks Like (Objectives):Maintain, enhance, and govern the enterprise privacy program to meet compliance standards across all product offeringsDrive cross-functional compliance remediation work in partnership with Legal, Engineering, and external counselOversee Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and manage Consent Management Platforms (CMP) to ensure seamless tool integrationTrack, report, and present key privacy program metrics, open risks, and remediation progress to Legal leadershipIntegrate AI-driven privacy tools or automated workflows to optimize data subject access requests (DSARs) and audit processesDirect the privacy audit process for ad-tech compliance while monitoring new regulatory trends to update program strategySkills, Experience and RequirementsCore Skills and Competencies (What you’ll bring):Expertise in U.S. federal and state privacy laws with a proven ability to translate legal concepts into practical operationsProficiency in Consent Management Platforms and privacy vendor tools like Ketch, OneTrust, or TrustArcAI Literacy and Application in leveraging modern automation or technology solutions to streamline privacy governanceStrong project management and organizational capabilities to manage high-volume tasks and meet tight deadlines; cross-functional collaboration across Legal, IT, and business teamsStrategic problem-solving and analytical ability to conduct actionable privacy risk assessments and ad-tech auditsCritical Experience in leading privacy programs within technology-focused, consumer-facing environments and in-house legal departmentsAdditional Qualifications:CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager) or equivalent IAPP certificationMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree with strong academic credentials6-8 years of professional experience in privacy compliance, data protection, or a related privacy program roleMust have hands-on experience with:Consent Management Platforms (e.g., Ketch, OneTrust, TrustArc)Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and DSAR workflowsAd-tech compliance and enterprise privacy auditingVisa sponsorship not available for this roleSalary RangesCompensation: $83,950.00/Year - $119,900.00/Year BenefitsWe offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: EchoStar Benefits.The base pay range shown is a guideline.
