Sales Representative (Hardscaping and Landscaping)

Summary The Sales Representative is responsible for driving the growth and development of sales and margins for MSI's hardscape product lines within retailer and dealer networks in an assigned geographic territory. Work Hours Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, 2 Saturday(s) a month from 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM Seniority Level Associate Employment Type Full-time Compensation This salaried, exempt position pays from $60,000 to $70,000 per year. The estimated annual pay for new hires generally ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 or more, depending on experience, education level and commission structure. Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers within the designated territory. Provide product knowledge and training to store personnel, enabling effective product presentation and customer negotiations. Gain a deep understanding of company products, market competition, and strategic positioning to address market challenges. Manage displays, samples, and sales tools to ensure availability for customers. Advise dealers on retail pricing, advertising, promotions, and ROI, leveraging an understanding of retail business financials. Prepare quotes, discuss credit terms, and finalize sales contracts for customer orders. Estimate and communicate delivery dates based on company delivery schedules. Analyze sales reports to identify growth opportunities with both existing and potential customers. Use marketing materials, including catalogs, brochures, and vendor collateral, to expand territory reach and promote products. Research and analyze customer needs based on market trends and data. Resolve customer issues related to deliveries, returns, and credits promptly and professionally. Attend trade shows and industry events as required. Willing to travel up to 90%, with most travel being local and occasional overnight trips. Perform additional duties as required. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred Must possess a valid driver’s license Previous sales experience is a plus Industry experience is beneficial but not required Strong math skills for calculating discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, and volume. Self‑motivated and results‑driven, with the ability to work independently and in teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM platforms preferred. Strong communication, presentation, problem‑solving, and negotiation skills Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
