Taldeco is seeking an entry level machinist to join our client based in Livonia, MI. The ideal candidate has 2+ years expereince as a machinist, or has completed schooling for it. The position is for 1st shift (day shift). This is a great opportunity to get into a machinist position. Apply today!
Job Descripition:
Program, set up and run various CNC and Wire EDM machines
Read, understand and interprate blueprints and drawings to determine proper dimensions for finished part
Change out inserts, tools and fixtures to ensure proper parts are being made
Organize and keep proper workflow documents
Keep a clean/organized workspace and comply with all safety standards
Work with team to ensure on-schedule production
Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
2+ years expereince as a mahcinist
Graduated or obtained a certification specific to the machining field (necessary if under 2 years expereince as a machinist)
Willingness to work flexible hours based on demand; hours range from 40 - 58 a week depending on business needs. Usually there is overtime required.
High School Diploma or GED
Reliable transportation
