Job Description Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements to develop machining strategies. Create efficient CNC milling programs using Mastercam. Develop fixtures, tooling, and workholding solutions for complex components. Generate setup sheets, work instructions, and related manufacturing documentation. Modify existing CNC programs and fixtures to improve productivity and efficiency. Set up and operate various CNC equipment, including 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers, EDM, and waterjet equipment when needed. Support prototype and low-volume production manufacturing. Create 2D and 3D CAD models from blueprints, sketches, or customer drawings as required. Select and set up tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters. Estimate manufacturing costs, including machining time, setup requirements, tooling, and fixturing. Troubleshoot machining, programming, and production issues. Train operators and provide technical support to manufacturing personnel. Perform routine machine maintenance, calibration activities, and production reporting. The Successful Applicant A successful CNC Programmer should have: High school diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years of CNC programming experience using Mastercam or similar CAM software. Minimum 2 years of machine shop experience, including CNC setup and operation. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements. Experience troubleshooting CNC programs and machining processes. Ability to edit and understand NC code. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
