Come and work for the coolest motorcycle-loving restaurant and event space in the country! We here at Bike Shed Moto Co pride ourselves on great food and drink in a fun and lively environment. We're looking for strong Kitchen Manager candidates to come help us kick the next chapter of BSMC into high gear. Key Responsibilities
- Staff Management: Hire, train, and schedule cooks, prep staff, and dishwashers. Set a positive tone and build teamwork.
- Inventory and Ordering: Track food stock, place orders with vendors, and reduce waste. Keep supply levels balanced with customer demand.
- Cost Control: Monitor food and labor budgets. Ensure recipes are followed to maintain profit margins.
- Food Safety: Enforce health department rules. Monitor cleanliness, proper food storage, and sanitation standards.
- Quality Control: Check that every dish leaving the kitchen matches the restaurant's brand and quality standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: 3 to 5 years (minimum) of experience in restaurant kitchens or leadership roles.
- Education: A high school diploma or GED is standard; a culinary degree is a plus.
- Certification: A valid Food Manager certificate, such as ServSafe.
- Skills: Strong leadership, basic computer skills for inventory, time management, and problem-solving under pressure.
