Cytotechnologist - per diem

DescriptionScreens gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytologic material; reviewing with pathologists all non-gynecologic and all atypical/abnormal gynecologic specimens.Performs specimen processing of cytologic material for evaluation by cytotechnologists and pathologists, according to Standard Operating Procedures, as necessary.Adheres to all QA/QC standards of the department; including submitting for peer review a random 10% of all negative gynecologic cases.Maintains an effective working relationship with pathologists.Participates in proficiency surveys and successfully completes federally mandated annual PT examination.Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, an affiliate of Mass General Brigham, is committed to supporting patient care, research, teaching, and service to the community.
