Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a specialized training program in Ultrasonic Technology or relevant on-the-job training with a registered sonographer preferred
• Minimum of one year of experience performing ultrasound procedures in a medical environment preferred
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required upon hire or transfer
• Must meet American Heart Association’s BLS standards; BLS certification required and must be maintained bi-annually
• Ability to become registered in OB/GYN with RDMS within one year of hire or transfer
• Strong proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-9 and CPT coding guidelines, and sonogram production and interpretation

Duties

• Perform ultrasound procedures adhering to established protocols
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Effectively communicate findings and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment issues
• Maintain accurate and detailed records as per regulatory standards
