Job Overview The Human Resources Generalist oversees the daily operations of the HR department, which includes recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes; management of payroll, benefits, and paid time off (PTO); employee engagement initiatives and general administrative work. Additionally, this role provides support to department managers in employee relations as needed. Employment Type Full-time Long-term Hybrid schedule: In-office on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday; remote on Tuesday and Friday Compensation Starting at $60K Final compensation will vary depending on several factors, including role level, skills, competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience Duties/Responsibilities Manage payroll and ensure accurate compensation Administer employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave Oversee annual performance reviews, raises and bonuses Talent Acquisition, Onboarding & Termination Oversee the full-cycle recruiting process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks, and extending job offers Organize and conduct orientation sessions for new employees Manage terminations, conduct exit interviews, and handle employee offboarding Employee Relations & Performance Management Foster a positive workplace culture through recognition programs and different initiatives Address and resolve employee concerns, complaints, disputes, and disciplinary matters Identify team needs and implement team-building programs or relevant training General Administrative Work Manage HR Information Systems (HRIS) and maintain employee handbook, data and reporting Support and lead HR initiatives or other projects that support company operations Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Required Skills/Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Organizational skills and attention to detail Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and ability to prioritize tasks Interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred At least two to three years of human resources experience is preferred Other Requirements Must pass background check screening Three solid professional references Benefits and Perks 100% company-paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision plans 401(k) retirement savings plan with partial company matching Paid time off including holidaysand flex days off Wellness program Ongoing education and training Business casual dress code Employee recognition program Team building and social activities Volunteering opportunities Friendly and engaging co-workers Friendly managers who prefer not to micromanage Well-decorated and comfortable office environment Coffee and snack stations with nitro brew and espresso coffee options Conveniently located office, with quick access to dozens of charming shops and restaurants, not only in Montrose but also in nearby Midtown, River Oaks, The Heights, Upper Kirby, The Galleria, and Downtown Houston #J-18808-Ljbffr
