Substitute Bus Driver

Location: Madison County School Board Office Position Summary Madison County Public Schools is seeking Bus Drivers. We have openings for School Bus Drivers with a valid CDL license. Our Bus Drivers are an essential part in our educational system, and we value their contributions. Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred CDL Class B with Air Break/Bus Passenger license required or willing to achieve one Must pass a yearly School Bus Driver physical Clean driving record Excellent communication skills Primary Responsibilities Transports children to and from school in the morning and afternoons Ensures the safety and well-being of children and adults being transported Completes an inspection of the bus daily before and after every route and reports any conditions of concern to the Supervisor Willing to help out with transporting students attending field trips and other school activities Ensures that all communication devices are in proper working order (two-way radio) Verify permissions for children who ride home with friends Obey all traffic laws Manage routes and additional trips as needed. Attend and participates in pre-service and in-service training Performs other duties as assigned Salary Range Commensurate with experience; $14,560 - $25,480, 10 month 182 contract days.
