Inside Sales Lead – Industrial Equipment

Compensation: $75,000–$85,000 base salary + commission
Travel: Approximately 10–15%
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced  Inside Sales Representative to join a growing industrial equipment organization based in North Royalton, Ohio. This role is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing opportunities, and having meaningful technical conversations with customers.

The successful candidate will manage a combination of  warm and hot leads, existing customer relationships, dormant accounts, and new business opportunities . Rather than simply processing inbound inquiries, this person will take ownership of the sales process—from initial conversation and technical discovery through solution development, quoting, follow-up, and closing.

This is a highly consultative sales role where the ability to understand customer applications, ask good technical questions, and recommend the right solution will be critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and convert  warm and hot leads into qualified sales opportunities.
• Proactively follow up with prospects and maintain consistent communication throughout the sales cycle.
• Re-establish relationships with former and inactive customers and identify opportunities to win back business.
• Manage and grow an assigned customer base while identifying opportunities for additional products and solutions.
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer applications, operating requirements, challenges, and purchasing needs.
• Engage customers in  technical conversations and translate their requirements into appropriate product or solution recommendations.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and other sales materials in coordination with internal resources.
• Follow up on quotes and opportunities to move prospects through the sales funnel and close business.
• Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and activity information within the CRM.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, customer service, and other internal teams to ensure customers receive appropriate solutions and support.
• Conduct occasional customer visits and on-site meetings, representing the organization professionally.
• Identify new applications, industries, and opportunities for growth within existing and prospective accounts.
• Participate in trade shows, customer meetings, and other sales-related events as needed.
• Consistently work toward sales, revenue, and customer-retention objectives.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of  inside sales, technical sales, industrial sales, or B2B sales experience .
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and move opportunities through a consultative sales process.
• Comfortable working with  warm leads, hot leads, existing accounts, and reactivation opportunities .
• Ability to understand technical products and applications and communicate effectively with customers.
• Strong phone, email, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to ask thoughtful questions and uncover the customer's underlying needs.
• Strong follow-up and organizational skills.
