Technician

Openwork  is currently engaged in a search to find multiple Technicians  for a manufacturing facility in Austin, Texas . In this role, you'll support the assembly, maintenance, cleaning, and production of pumps/vacuum equipment. This is an exciting opportunity for hands-on technicians who enjoy working with tools, wiring, troubleshooting, and detailed build processes.

As a Technician, you'll be responsible for:

• Performing mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies

• Completing wiring, cable, and harness fabrication

• Connecting battery systems and performing interconnections

• Reading and following schematics, build documentation, and work instructions

• Using standard shop tools to complete production tasks

• Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues during assembly and maintenance

• Ensuring quality and accuracy in all assemblies

• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Supporting team production goals in a fast-paced setting

• Performing preventive maintenance

• Inspecting, cleaning, and replacing consumable parts and components

• Supporting senior technicians and engineers during maintenance or service work

• Following site safety procedures, including PPE and LOTO requirements

• Providing on-site technical support during scheduled maintenance activities

• Performing field service travel and on-site work as required

• Completing maintenance checklists, service reports, and documentation

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas

What you'll need:

• 2–6 years of hands-on experience as a technician (preferred)
• ???????Strong assembly and repair background with hand tools and diagnostic equipment, preferabli with pumps, motors, or electromechanical assemblies.
• Ability to repair bearings and seals.
• Use of metrology equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and soldering irons.

• Must know how to use power and hand tools (required)

• Experience with crimping, harness building, and shop tools (preferred) 

• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents (preferred)

• Strong attention to detail (required)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team

• Comfortable working in a shop/production and field environment

Perks:

• Pay: $24–$32/hour based on experience

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule
