Asssitant/Associate Professor-Family and Consumer Sciences(Gerontology) NCA&T State University Posting Date Position: Assistant/Associate Professor - Family and Consumer Sciences [Gerontology] Internal Number: 008077 This is a 12‑month non‑tenure track research faculty appointment. Primary Responsibilities Establish and maintain a research program through interdisciplinary collaborations leading to grant writing and publications. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in family and consumer sciences, particularly in the gerontology area. Participate in curriculum development. Engage in accreditation procedures, program coordination, and program assessment. Serve on department, college, and university committees and participate in other research and academic functions. Qualifications Earned Ph.D. in Gerontology or a related discipline from an accredited university, with a specialization in social gerontology or sociological perspectives on the life course. A record of research excellence demonstrated by peer‑reviewed publications and a strong record of grant writing and extramural funding or significant scholarship.
