Marketing & Sales Development Coordinator Position Summary We are seeking a results-driven, highly organized, and proactive Marketing & Sales Development Coordinator to lead the company"s marketing initiatives while actively supporting sales growth and customer development. This position will serve as the primary liaison between the company and its outside advertising/marketing agency and will be responsible for managing the company"s social media presence, coordinating marketing activities, distributing sales leads, developing customer relationships, and identifying new opportunities to support business growth. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who understands both marketing and sales, is comfortable working with customers and internal sales teams, and can turn marketing activities into measurable sales opportunities. The ultimate goal of this position is to increase brand awareness, generate qualified leads, strengthen customer relationships, and directly contribute to increased company sales. Key Responsibilities Marketing & Advertising * Serve as the primary liaison with the company"s outside advertising and marketing agency. * Coordinate advertising campaigns, marketing initiatives, schedules, budgets, and deliverables. * Review and approve advertising materials, digital content, promotional materials, and other marketing assets. * Develop and maintain the company"s annual and ongoing marketing plan. * Coordinate trade show, industry event, sponsorship, and promotional activities as needed. * Monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make recommendations for improvement. * Track marketing activities and results to identify opportunities to improve lead generation and sales. Social Media Management * Manage all aspects of the company"s social media presence, including LinkedIn and other relevant platforms. * Develop, create, schedule, and publish engaging content that supports company products, services, events, and industry initiatives. * Monitor social media activity, comments, messages, engagement, and industry trends. * Respond to or coordinate responses to inquiries and interactions. * Monitor social media analytics and engagement and recommend strategies to increase reach and interaction. * Coordinate photography, graphics, video, product information, and other materials required for social media content. Sales Lead Management & Development * Receive, organize, qualify, and distribute sales leads to the appropriate sales representatives. * Maintain accurate records of leads and monitor follow-up activity. * Track the progression of leads from initial inquiry through customer contact and potential sale. * Identify opportunities for lead follow-up and re-engagement. * Work closely with the sales team to ensure leads are handled promptly and effectively. * Develop strategies to increase the number and quality of qualified sales leads generated through marketing activities. * Analyze lead sources to determine which marketing activities are generating the greatest sales opportunities. Customer Development * Establish and coordinate meetings with prospective and existing customers. * Assist sales representatives in developing new customer relationships and expanding existing accounts. * Conduct outreach to prospective customers to identify needs, opportunities, and potential applications. * Coordinate customer visits, presentations, demonstrations, and meetings as appropriate. * Maintain regular communication with customers and prospects to support relationship development. * Identify potential new markets, industries, applications, and customer opportunities. Sales Growth & Business Development * Work closely with management and the sales team to develop initiatives designed to increase sales. * Identify new business opportunities and recommend strategies for expanding the company"s customer base. * Research market trends, competitors, customers, and industry developments. * Develop targeted marketing campaigns designed to generate new sales opportunities. * Support sales promotions, product launches, and new product introductions. * Measure marketing and business-development activities based on their ability to generate qualified opportunities and revenue. * Establish and monitor performance goals related to lead generation, customer engagement, meetings, and sales growth. Qualifications * Bachelor"s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Sales, or a related field preferred. * 3+ years of experience in marketing, sales, business development, or a related role. * Demonstrated ability to manage social media platforms and create engaging content. * Experience working with outside advertising, marketing, or creative agencies. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. * Experience with social media management, CRM, analytics, or marketing platforms is a plus. * Manufacturing, machine tool, industrial, engineering, or B2B experience is strongly preferred.
