Kore Cares is hiring a full-time Lead Caregiver in Sioux Falls, SD.

What You'll Do

As a Lead Caregiver, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day operations of the agency while continuing to provide hands-on care to clients.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Provide coverage for client shifts when caregivers are unable to work due to illness or emergencies
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays
• Introduce caregivers to clients and provide hands-on training in the office and in clients' homes
• Mentor and support caregivers as they grow in their roles
• Provide personal care such as bathing, toileting, dressing, and personal hygiene
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and mobility
• Provide medication reminders
• Assist with range-of-motion activities as outlined in the client's care plan
• Prepare meals, assist with feeding, and complete kitchen cleanup
• Provide light housekeeping, errands, transportation, and companionship
• Follow infection control and universal precaution practices
• Maintain accurate records of client condition and services provided
• Communicate changes in client condition to the agency office team
• Help ensure clients receive high-quality care while maintaining their dignity and independence
• Perform other duties as needed to support clients, caregivers, and agency operations

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a dependable and compassionate caregiver who is ready to take on additional responsibility and serve as a resource for both clients and fellow caregivers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of caregiving or patient care experience preferred
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare administrative setting preferred, but not required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable learning and using Microsoft Office and other business applications
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle business information appropriately
• Ability to adapt easily to changing situations
• Ability to work well as part of a team

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and other work locations
• Ability to safely perform the physical duties of the position, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English
• Proof of eligibility for employment in the United States
