ER Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30). 3 shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours weekly. Every other weekend required.

Job Description

The ER Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical care skills and be adept at handling multi-organ issues and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias)
• Care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues
• Administer blood products and manage central lines
• Start and maintain IVs, including the administration of IV sedation and vasopressors
• Care for stroke (CVA) and ventilated patients
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Follow isolation precautions and perform triage duties

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience, with 2 years of recent ER experience required
• Active nursing license in New York or a compact state; if no NY license, must have already applied
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• No disciplinary issues on nursing license
