The nurse will provide care to patients recovering from anesthesia. Candidates must have strong clinical skills in areas such as arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition, and blood product administration. The role involves managing ventilated patients and administering IV medications, including narcotics and reversal agents. Responsibilities also include conducting pain assessments and managing patient sedation. Nurses must interpret telemetry strips independently for all telemetry patients. A minimum score of 80% is needed on a telemetry assessment on the first day of orientation. Nurses will receive training on the facility's electronic medical record system. Travelers must coordinate time off requests prior to submission. Candidates should possess experience with various surgical specialties, including general, ortho, and vascular.
