Litigation Paralegal

LHH is currently seeking an experienced Insurance Defense / Medical Malpractice Paralegal for a respected law firm in the Tampa area. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys handling complex litigation matters while playing a key role in case management and trial preparation.
Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in all phases of insurance defense and medical malpractice litigation
  
• Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence
  
• Review, organize, and summarize medical records and other case-related documentation
  
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, expert witness schedules, and trial logistics
  
• Prepare chronologies, case summaries, and trial materials
  
• Manage litigation calendars and ensure compliance with court deadlines
  
• Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, medical providers, and court personnel
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience in insurance defense, medical malpractice, or complex litigation
  
• Strong understanding of Florida state court procedures and litigation processes
  
• Experience handling and analyzing large volumes of medical records
  
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
  
• Paralegal certificate or degree preferred
