NOW HIRING: TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST
Department: Human Resources – Talent Acquisition Location: On-site only | 531 Old Swede Road, Douglassville, PA 19518 (No remote work available) Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00AM–4:30PM | Full-time Compensation: Competitive salary based on recruiting experience, sourcing capability, interviewing expertise, technical recruiting exposure, and market data Help Us Build the Team That Makes It Possible. Behind every engineer who designs our equipment, every skilled trades professional who builds it, and every technician who supports our customers is a hiring process responsible for finding the right people to help our organization grow. We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who wants to own that responsibility. This is a full-cycle recruiting role for someone who can manage requisitions independently, build credibility with Hiring Managers, conduct meaningful interviews, develop sourcing strategies, evaluate candidates objectively, and keep hiring processes moving without waiting to be managed through every step. You'll recruit across a diverse organization that includes skilled trades, engineering, manufacturing, field service, sales, and professional support functions. You'll help build the workforce behind ACECO's continued growth, and you'll have some fun while doing it. What This Role Really Is This is an end-to-end Talent Acquisition role with real ownership. You'll manage assigned requisitions from intake through accepted offer while serving as the primary recruiting partner for candidates and Hiring Managers. That means understanding what the business actually needs, developing the recruiting strategy, sourcing talent, conducting structured interviews, evaluating technical and behavioral alignment, presenting evidence-based hiring recommendations, coordinating next steps, supporting offer decisions, and maintaining accurate documentation throughout the process. We aren't looking for someone who simply schedules interviews and sends resumes to Hiring Managers. We want a recruiter who develops an informed point of view and can confidently answer: Should we hire this person...and why? Who Thrives Here — and Who Doesn't You'll do well here if you take ownership of your requisitions, communicate before someone has to ask for an update, and genuinely enjoy learning unfamiliar jobs. You should be comfortable recruiting a welder in the morning, discussing an engineering search in the afternoon, and developing a sourcing strategy for a difficult-to-find field technician before the day is over. Strong Talent Acquisition Specialists at ACECO are curious, organized, responsive, comfortable asking follow‑up questions, and willing to respectfully challenge assumptions when the evidence suggests a different hiring decision. This role is likely not a fit if you prefer transactional recruiting, depend primarily on inbound applicants, hesitate to give Hiring Managers your professional recommendation, dislike documentation and process discipline, or need constant direction to keep requisitions moving. What Success Looks Like in Your First 90 Days During your first 30 days, you'll learn ACECO's business, recruiting process, ATS, employment brand, hiring standards, interview methodology, compliance requirements, and the types of positions we recruit. You'll begin building relationships with Hiring Managers and observing interviews and recruiting workflows. During days 31–60, you'll begin independently managing assigned requisitions, conducting structured interviews, developing sourcing strategies, presenting candidate recommendations, and maintaining proactive communication with candidates and Hiring Managers. By days 61–90, you should be confidently managing your recruiting portfolio, identifying hiring risks before they become bottlenecks, building candidate pipelines, providing evidence‑based recommendations, and operating as a trusted recruiting partner rather than simply a process administrator. Why Join the ACECO Talent Acquisition Team? Recruit Across the Entire Business You'll recruit skilled trades, engineers, field service technicians, operational professionals, and other critical positions across a custom manufacturing organization. Learn the Business, Not Just the Requisition Our recruiters are expected to understand the work they're recruiting for. That means spending time with Hiring Managers, learning departments, understanding technical requirements, and occasionally getting out onto the manufacturing floor. Have a Voice in Hiring Decisions We expect our recruiters to develop professional judgment and provide clear, evidence‑based recommendations—not simply forward candidates to Hiring Managers. Build Difficult Talent Pipelines Some of our most important positions aren't easy to find. You'll develop sourcing expertise for specialized skilled trades, engineering, technical service, and other difficult‑to‑fill talent markets. Develop as a Talent Acquisition Professional You'll participate in recruiter calibration, interview observations, coaching, sourcing strategy discussions, process improvement, and continued professional development. Make a Visible Impact and Enjoy Coming to Work Recruiting directly supports ACECO's workforce growth. Your ability to identify and attract the right talent affects production capability, engineering capacity, customer service, and long‑term organizational success. What You'll Do Full‑Cycle Recruitment Independently manage assigned exempt and non‑exempt requisitions from intake through accepted offer Conduct detailed requisition intake discussions with Hiring Managers Develop recruiting strategies based on role requirements, urgency, labor‑market conditions, and available talent Review applications and evaluate qualifications against established requirements Conduct structured interviews assessing technical qualifications, behavioral competencies, motivation, accountability, and long‑term alignment Provide clear, evidence‑based Inclined / Not Inclined hiring recommendations Maintain recruiting momentum through proactive candidate follow‑up, interview coordination, and Hiring Manager communication Identify recruiting risks and recommend solutions before they affect hiring timelines Serve as a consultative recruiting partner to Hiring Managers Help translate business needs into practical candidate‑selection criteria Prepare Hiring Managers for interviews with candidate context, interview guidance, and evaluation expectations Provide objective candidate recommendations supported by interview findings Respectfully challenge assumptions when appropriate using recruiting expertise, candidate evidence, and market information Maintain consistent communication regarding pipeline health, recruiting risks, and next steps Candidate Experience Serve as the primary Talent Acquisition contact throughout the candidate lifecycle Deliver professional, responsive, and transparent communication Set realistic expectations regarding positions, schedules, hiring processes, and employment requirements Protect ACECO's employer brand through every candidate interaction Maintain timely follow‑up throughout interviewing and offer stages Strategic Sourcing & Pipeline Development Build sourcing strategies for current and future workforce needs Identify and engage passive candidates Develop pipelines for skilled trades, engineering, technical, professional, and difficult‑to‑fill positions Build relationships with trade schools, colleges, community organizations, industry groups, and referral networks Use multiple sourcing channels rather than relying exclusively on applicants Track sourcing effectiveness, response rates, and pipeline health Build and maintain organized talent communities for recurring hiring needs Offer Management Prepare and extend employment offers within approved compensation parameters Support candidate questions, counteroffers, and offer‑stage communication Partner with Hiring Managers throughout offer decisions Coordinate clean handoffs into pre‑employment and onboarding processes Ensure required recruiting documentation is complete before onboarding Recruiting Operations & Compliance Maintain accurate, complete, and audit‑ready ATS documentation Document candidate interactions, interview findings, and hiring decisions objectively Support compliant recruiting practices related to EEO, OFCCP/AAP requirements, applicable employment laws, company policies, and customer requirements Monitor requisition aging, recruiting activity, and pipeline health Support recruiting metrics, dashboards, and reporting Contribute to improvements in interview practices, candidate communication, templates, documentation, and recruiting workflows What We're Looking For This role requires availability to work full‑time hours on‑site (no remote work available) Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–4:30PM. Recruiters may spend time in manufacturing areas to better understand positions, meet Hiring Managers, observe work environments, support new hires, participate in shop walks, and strengthen their understanding of the jobs they recruit. The position also includes participation in career fairs, trade‑school events, college recruiting, community partnerships, and other external recruiting activities. Appropriate PPE is required when entering designated manufacturing areas. What's In It for You? At ACECO, Talent Acquisition is expected to contribute more than administrative recruiting support. You'll have the opportunity to develop into a well‑rounded recruiting professional who understands the business and influences hiring outcomes. Competitive compensation based on recruiting experience and capability Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance available on the first day of employment Generous paid time off with annual rollover 401(k) retirement plan with company match Ten paid company holidays Tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities Full‑cycle ownership of meaningful requisitions Exposure to skilled trades, engineering, field service, professional, and leadership recruiting Structured recruiter coaching, calibration, and development Opportunity to develop advanced sourcing and interviewing capabilities Direct partnership with Hiring Managers throughout the organization Clear opportunity to grow toward Senior Talent Acquisition responsibility through demonstrated performance and capability What to Expect From Our Hiring Process Every application is reviewed by our internal Talent Acquisition team. We do not rely on automated screening tools. And yes…if you're applying to join Talent Acquisition, you should probably expect us to pay attention to how you complete the application. We encourage applicants to tailor their resume to accurately reflect their recruiting ownership, sourcing strategies, requisition workload, Hiring Manager partnerships, candidate‑selection responsibilities, and measurable accomplishments. We focus on candidates who demonstrate ownership, reliability, communication, and attention to detail throughout the application process. Qualified candidates typically hear from us within a few business days depending on applicant volume. During the interview process, candidates should be prepared to discuss specific requisitions they have personally managed, difficult searches, sourcing approaches, hiring recommendations, Hiring Manager challenges, candidate situations, and recruiting outcomes reflected on their resume.
