Job Summary The Mental Health Clinician provides advanced clinical support in delivering behavioral health services within a correctional facility. This role is responsible for conducting assessments, providing individual and group therapy, developing treatment plans, and supporting crisis intervention efforts. Duties/Responsibilities Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of operational and clinical Conducts comprehensive mental health assessments and formulates treatment plans. Provides individual and group therapy to inmates with a range of mental health needs. Supports crisis intervention and suicide prevention efforts. Collaborates with psychiatrists, nurses, custody staff, and other clinicians to ensure coordinated care. Participates in case reviews, treatment planning meetings, and interdisciplinary team discussions. Maintains accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Assists in developing and delivering staff training and education on mental health topics. Ensures adherence to ethical and professional standards of practice. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing mental health services, preferably in a correctional or institutional setting. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills. Experience with crisis intervention and trauma-informed care approaches. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Proficient in clinical documentation and use of electronic health records (EHR). Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS

Ability to pass all required health and other screening tests May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays On-call duty may be required (available to work on short notice)
