Senior Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Assistant to support the Accounting Manager. Accounts payable, data entry, general ledger, paperless file maintenance, payroll specialist backup duties. This position is full-time, Mon-Fri. Flexible start/end times.

Franchise owner of local KFC restaurants. Our corporate office handles all payroll and accounting in-house.

Responsibilities include:

· Enter daily sales accurately via excel workbook

· Heavy excel use for consolidation into accounting software program

· Verify all bank activity, weekly.

· Monitor store level discrepancies.

· Process accounts payable invoicing, weekly

· Vendor file maintenance and computer filing

· Navigate Vendor websites

· GL entries for end of month, as assigned

· Cross training in Payroll.

· Other duties as assigned by Accounting Manager

Experience / Skills required:

· MS Excel and Office Outlook Expert to intermediate (min. 3 yrs)

· Experience with Accounts Payable (min. 3 yrs)

· General Ledger experience and understanding. (min. 3 yrs)

· Knowledge of basic office duties

· Sage 300 software experience a plus, will train.

· Must be driven to enter accurate data.

· Ability to work alone with task lists and step-by-step written instruction

· Advanced problem-solving skills a must

· Payroll experience required (min. 3 yrs)

You must enjoy working with numbers and spreadsheets. Can be a fast-paced environment during peak accounting times.
