Job Description
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions and maintaining accuracy in financial records. You will be responsible for processing invoices, managing payments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices by receiving, coding, verifying, and organizing them.
- Schedule and execute timely payments to vendors.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain accurate vendor records.
- Manage Joint Interest Billing (JIB) specific to the energy sector, facilitating billing between partners.
- Ensure financial accuracy by maintaining data integrity, reconciliation, and adherence to financial controls.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of AP in oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as PakEnergy/WolfePak.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel pivot tables.
- Experience in accounts payable and Joint Interest Billing with at least 2 years in each.
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Background in accounting, preferably in the Oil & Gas or CCUS industry.
- Leadership skills and the ability to manage vendor communications effectively.
Work Environment
The work environment involves using advanced accounting software and Microsoft Office tools to manage financial transactions. You will work in a dynamic environment that values accuracy and effective communication, primarily within the Oil & Gas or CCUS sectors.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allen, TX 75013.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
