Senior Accountant

Role Responsibilities: JOB SUMMARY: This position supports the Controller by managing key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This role plays a critical part in the month-end close. Responsibilities include: Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy Assist with financial statements and management reports Support the Controller with budgeting and forecasting Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and internal controls Assist with audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting Identify process improvements and efficiencies within accounting operations Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications / Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel Prior experience supporting audits and month-end close Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines At Phenix, we believe in taking care of our team members—both personally and professionally.
