Role: Technical Accounting Controller

\n

Where: Global Alternatives Manager

\n

Where: Mid Town NYC

\n

Comp: Up to 300k total cash

\n

Looking for: 8-20 years of technical accounting experience around asset or alternative asset managers. Experience around transactions ++

\n

    \n
  • Analyze complex investment and financing transactions, including underlying legal agreements, to determine the appropriate accounting treatment and reporting impact
    • \n
  • Advise on technical accounting matters related to private credit investments, new products, strategic initiatives, and transaction activity
    • \n
  • Work closely with deal teams throughout the transaction lifecycle to evaluate proposed structures and address accounting considerations early in the process
    • \n
  • Develop concise, well-documented accounting position papers and coordinate with external auditors and advisors to support final conclusions
    • \n
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Legal, Tax, Structuring, Operations, Investor Relations, and Finance on cross-functional transaction and reporting matters
    • \n
  • Prepare and review management reporting for the private credit platform, as well as related U.S. GAAP financial statements and disclosure requirements
    • \n
  • Contribute to additional Accounting Policy and Financial Reporting initiatives, including periodic close activities, annual audits, and special projects
    • \n
