The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Director to drive new business growth within the Industrial Equipment & Heavy Machinery sector across North America. This is a true hunter role focused on identifying, developing, and winning new client relationships within industries including: Construction Equipment Agricultural Machinery Mining Equipment Engineered Products Off-Highway Vehicles The successful candidate will have a proven track record of opening new doors, building executive relationships, and selling complex Engineering, Digital, Embedded, and Technology-led solutions to manufacturing and industrial organizations. Key Responsibilities New Business Acquisition Develop and execute strategic territory plans to generate new business opportunities and revenue growth. Identify, qualify, and pursue new logos within the Industrial Equipment and Heavy Machinery market. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, market research, and industry events. Manage the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification through contract negotiation and closure. Consistently achieve and exceed revenue, bookings, and pipeline targets. Executive Engagement Develop relationships with key decision-makers across target organizations, including: CTOs CIOs Manufacturing Executives Understand customer business priorities and identify opportunities where Tata Technologies can create measurable value. Solution Selling Collaborate with internal practice, consulting, and delivery teams to position solutions across: Embedded Software & Systems Connected Products & IoT Software Development Smart Manufacturing Industry 4.0 Digital Twin Solutions Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Manufacturing Engineering AI-Enabled Engineering Solutions Market Development Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitor activity, and customer investment priorities. Identify opportunities related to: Electrification Connected Equipment Autonomous Systems Smart Factory Initiatives Digital Transformation Sustainability & Decarbonization Represent Tata Technologies at industry conferences, trade events, and customer engagements. CRM & Forecasting Maintain accurate opportunity and pipeline data within Salesforce. Deliver regular forecasts and business updates to leadership. Work cross-functionally to ensure successful opportunity pursuit and customer engagement. What You'll Bring Required Experience 8+ years of successful B2B sales or business development experience. Proven track record in a hunter role with responsibility for new logo acquisition. Experience selling one or more of the following: Embedded Systems Software Solutions Manufacturing Solutions Experience selling into Industrial Equipment, Heavy Machinery, Off-Highway, Construction, Agriculture, Mining, Material Handling, or Industrial Manufacturing sectors. Strong consultative and solution-selling capabilities. Demonstrated ability to manage complex enterprise sales cycles and multiple stakeholders. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Preferred Experience selling Digital Engineering and Embedded Engineering services. Knowledge of Industrial IoT, Connected Products, Smart Manufacturing, and Industry 4.0. Familiarity with PLM platforms such as Teamcenter, Windchill, or 3DEXPERIENCE. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Technology, or a related discipline.
