Midwest Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Mental Health Therapist, licensed as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW, to provide remote therapy services from our outpatient office in Temple, Texas. This full-time position allows therapists to work remotely, providing flexibility while serving a diverse patient base through teletherapy. Regular communication and collaboration with colleagues and supervisors are facilitated through virtual platforms, ensuring consistent support and feedback for all team members.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that incorporate cultural considerations and patient backgrounds to develop tailored treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a variety of mental health concerns, customizing approaches to meet each client's unique needs.

• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on resilience-building and emotional support for patients facing various challenges.
\n
• Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other therapeutic professionals to ensure cohesive care for patients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute mental health issues, promptly assessing risks and implementing safety strategies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and available community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their care.
\n
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.

• Actively engage in team meetings, case conferences, and cultural competency training sessions to continuously improve service delivery.
\n
• Stay informed on the latest research, best practices, and cultural considerations relevant to mental health therapy.

The ideal candidate will have experience and proficiency in working with a diverse range of patients, including those from various ethnic backgrounds, as well as LGBTQ+ individuals and immigrant groups. • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• In-depth understanding of mental health disorders, psychological theories, and culturally informed therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in delivering both individual and group therapy in a culturally responsive manner.
\n
• Strong skills in crisis intervention, with a calm demeanor during challenging situations.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, proven by a track record of building positive rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain client documentation.
\n
• A commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

• Experience in community mental health settings or outpatient clinics.
\n
• Familiarity with culturally specific practices and the ability to adapt therapy to meet cultural needs.

• Previous leadership roles or involvement in mentoring newer therapists.
\n
