Cultivation Specialist

Cultivation Specialists support the entire Cultivation Department by handling day‑to‑day plant maintenance and grow‑facility cleaning. They are the backbone of our large grow operation, having a role in every part of the cultivation process. Proper training on company protocols and compliance is essential. The Specialist reports directly to the Cultivation Manager, follows established policies and procedures, and contributes to new concepts, policies, and procedures as needed. Cultivation Specialists may be cross‑trained to care for cannabis plants in other stages of life such as clones, vegetation, and mothers. Breeder positions are commonly filled by experienced specialists. Trimmers, buckers, and packaging staff are often cross‑trained with Specialists. Responsibilities Provide necessary support to the management team to ensure cultivation duties are completed in a timely manner consistent with company SOPs. Initial duties will involve essential cultivation operations and may be expanded over time. Plant work, specifically topping, sweeping and disinfecting flower/vegetative rooms, disposing of used growing media, preparing rooms for a new transplant, and general cleaning. Spot cleaning, cloning, scouting pests, maintaining plant inventory, consolidating vegetative trays, planting coco cubes, watering, and light maintenance. Harvesting, applying predatory insects, hanging sticky cards for IPM monitoring, and assisting with monthly on‑hand inventory counts. Follow all operational guidelines, comply with verbal directives, and implement all safety, security, sanitation policies. Understand and follow GACP/GMP guidelines throughout the facility. Perform other duties as qualified and assigned. Within the flowering phase, manage watering, nutrient mixing, defoliation, monitoring and controlling room environment, maintaining equipment, logging environmental factors, measuring water run‑off, and completing waste logs for compliance. Lead harvest procedures on harvest day. Environment Demands Exposure to pollen, allergens, non‑carcinogenic pesticides, dust, odors, extreme temperatures, artificial light, sun exposure, loud machines, vibrations, and water. Skills & Qualifications Ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing, and challenging environment. Ability to make decisions as needed with required oversight. Proficiency in Windows‑based and other software and internet navigation. Fun attitude, strong work ethic, strong attention to detail, and teamwork mentality with flexibility for scheduling expectations including weekends, evenings and holiday shifts and store location movement. Work a minimum of 8 hours a day and rotating shifts, including weekends. Lift, push, and pull 50 pounds. Sit, squat, bend, kneel for extended periods and repetitively perform day‑to‑day tasks. Stand and walk for 8 hours. Requirements All applicants must be at least 21 years of age. All applicants must pass an FBI fingerprint search and a BCI federal background search. Salary: $18 per hour.
