About the Position

Assignment Details:

• 13-week travel assignment
• Day shifts
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Schedule may consist of either:
  • 5 x 8-hour shifts, or
  • 4 x 10-hour shifts
• Weekly weeknight call requirement
• Weekend call rotation required
• Orientation provided

Requirements

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent GI Lab/Endoscopy nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong circulating and procedural support experience required
• Experience assisting with advanced GI procedures including:
  • ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)
  • EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound)
  • EMR (Endoscopic Mucosal Resection)
  • ESD (Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection)
  • Enteroscopy
  • Endoluminal Surgery procedures
• EPIC charting experience preferred

Required Skills:

• Pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure patient care
• Moderate sedation monitoring and recovery
• Assisting physicians during advanced endoscopic procedures
• Handling and troubleshooting specialized endoscopy equipment
• Knowledge of GI procedural instruments, catheters, stents, wires, snares, and biopsy devices
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations during procedures
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care throughout all phases of GI and Endoscopy procedures
• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures
• Monitor patients during sedation and recovery
• Assist physicians with advanced therapeutic and diagnostic procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams
