Human Resources Manager (Rensselaer, IN)

We are actively searching for a Human Resources Manager to lead the HR department at our distribution center in Rensselaer, IN. This role will manage a small team and serve as a strategic partner to the Plant Director and Corporate HR team. Responsibilities Lead HR support at a large distribution center. Develop and implement employee relations practices and strategies, including employee engagement, wage and salary administration, selection and staffing, orientation and training, organizational development, performance management, succession planning and conflict resolution. Influence, coach and provide guidance to the plant leadership team and employees regarding HR practices, policies and procedures. Partner with Operations leadership and key stakeholders to drive HR and operational strategies. Conduct investigations and propose corrective actions. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for the entire site. Lead HR-related projects and initiatives both within the site and the broader HR Organization. Manage a team of one HR professional. Minimum Qualifications 8+ years of progressive human resources experience. 2+ years of human resources management experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or Master’s degree in HR-related discipline). Prior experience working in a distribution center environment. Human Resources certifications (e.g., SCP – Senior Certified Professional). Excellent knowledge of HR practices, laws and regulations. Knowledge of management principles, practices, and procedures of HR Management. Strong communication, problem solving and negotiation skills. Ability to plan, coordinate, and direct work of others. Experience conducting employment-related investigations. Solid analytical skills and ability to understand the business context and strategy. Ability to work on multiple assignments while responding to frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Relocation This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
