In this role, you will operate in a fast pace, entrepreneurial environment and act as a point of contact for all employees on process and procedures, and guidance on all aspects of the employee life cycle. Responsibilities include managing new hire onboarding and leave of absences processes, employee relations, and identifying coaching and training needs for staff.The Day-To-DayInterpret and implement human resources policies and procedures for attorneys and support staffSupport all internal and external HR related inquiries or requestsProvides guidance to supervisors for human resource employee management including counseling, coaching, employee development and retention, warnings and performance improvement plans and termination recommendations.Maintain digital records of employeesManage Family Medical Leave and ADA requirements.Manage new hire orientation, onboarding, I-9 verifications and staff integration process.Complete termination paperwork, conduct exit interviews, record responses, analyze survey reports and recommends areas for improvementProcess personnel action forms, unemployment claims and Affirmative Action reportsAssist National Recruitment team with staff recruitment, writing job descriptions, sourcing qualified candidates, preparing offer lettersPartner with the Regional HR Director to assist with the annual evaluation process and ad hoc projectsYou HaveA bachelor's degree or previous experience in a related field such as business administration or human resources, is preferredPHR or equivalent certificate preferred4+ years of experience in HR within law firms or professional services supporting multiple officesKnowledge of local, state and federal employment law and EEO guidelinesStrong communication skills both verbal and writtenStrong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive matters and respond effectively to such situationsWhat We ProvideSeyfarth provides competitive salary and benefits at all levels, and our culture embraces the entrepreneurial spirit of its professionals like no other firm. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
