Production Supervisor

Our client is currently seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor in NJ.


The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations during an assigned shift in a high-volume food production environment. This individual oversees production personnel, coordinates staffing and materials, ensures compliance with quality and food safety standards, and drives operational efficiency.


Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily production activities across multiple manufacturing lines to ensure efficient, uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure production equipment and lines are prepared and operational at shift start.
• Execute production schedules while meeting established quality, yield, and productivity targets.
• Assign personnel to production areas based on business needs and operational priorities.
• Coordinate staffing adjustments to address attendance, scheduling, and production requirements.
• Provide coaching, direction, and performance feedback to hourly team members.
• Conduct employee training focused on safety, quality, food safety, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, food processing, or consumer packaged goods environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop production teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, workplace safety, and quality systems.
