Maintenance Specialist

United Talent is immediately hiring a Maintenance Specialist for Charleston, WV! Job duties include performing preventative maintenance and repairs on residential buildings and facilities, completing carpentry work, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, repairing and maintaining plumbing systems, servicing and repairing appliances, performing interior and exterior building repairs, preparing surfaces and completing painting, conducting inspections to identify maintenance needs, coordinating daily work assignments, maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies, completing work orders, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and responding to after-hours emergency maintenance calls on a rotating schedule. Operate hand tools, power tools, maintenance vehicles, and grounds equipment safely.

Pay and shift: Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm. Pay is $18.03.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance, construction, or a related skilled trade, strong knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general maintenance repairs, ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals, experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment, valid West Virginia driver's license with a good driving record, ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor including climbing, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods, ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks, and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
