Vice President – AviationHill is seeking a Vice President – Aviation in the United States. This role for Hill International Aviation as part of the Global Aviation Management team focuses on Program Consulting and Project/Construction Management delivery, business development, identifying and pursuing opportunities in the public and private sectors for airport facility and infrastructure projects in the U.S. and Canada. Along with demonstrated skills in successful project and construction management, the ideal candidate will have experience establishing and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new opportunities that align with competencies, develop pursuit strategies including key teaming relationships, support preparing proposals, delivering effective presentations, and ultimately securing new business through positive on time/within budget delivery while continuing to monitor and support delivery of projects.ResponsibilitiesAdministrative and TechnicalPlans, organizes, controls, integrates and evaluates the work of assigned Client Programs/Projects to ensure that delivery of services comply with the contractual obligations defined by contract and industry standards exceeding the Client expectationsManage major Aviation Programs and Project Teams to successfully complete assigned Consulting, Planning, and Program/Project Management assignmentsPlans and evaluates performance of assigned resources and staffMonitors Hill's Client Project Assignments to ensure:Program/Projects assignments are carried out per contractual and industry StandardsProgram/Project financial results meet both Client and Hill expectationsProgram/Project delivery schedules adhere to client contractual requirementsConducts Client Expectation surveys at the onset of services, periodically following up with Client Satisfaction interviews throughout the duration of the respective agreement and at the conclusion to ensure the expectations of the Client were exceeded by the services providedAssess staffing abilities and identify strategic hires necessary to achieve company goalsUnderstand the existing staffing resources and prepare plan to ensure industry leading staffingSupport recruiting and management of project staffUtilize existing Hill International training initiatives and adjust to align with the needs of the aviation industryProvide project management and construction management services for buildings and facilities projects for state, local, federal and commercial clients which include new development, rehabilitation and expansionMarketing and SalesIdentify business, client and project opportunities consistent with plans and strategyEstablish positive client and partner relationships through successful networking and presentationsUtilize market research, competitor analysis, professional conferences, and other means to identify potential new markets and ways to grow in current marketsAssist in the development and implementation of effective teaming strategies and develop and manage strategic pursuit plansMaintains a written and visual portfolio of ongoing/completed projects and programs which will be provided to the Aviation Marketing Director for future sales effortsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or requisite experience and/or degrees in aviation related studyMinimum 20 years program and construction management experience in aviation facilities projects for state, local, federal and/or commercial clients, specifically in key role with both technical and management responsibilitiesPossess extensive experience in airport and airline operations and understand the impact of construction and cost of implementation on an operational airportSignificant proposal development experienceProven track-record successfully managing and delivering major aviation programs and projects with contract values in excess of $50M dollars and programs in excess of $500M dollars in construction valueFamiliarity and strong relationships with local market, contractors, A/E firms and aviation clientsExtensive experience with facilities projects for State, Local, Federal and Commercial clientsExcellent technical writing, verbal communication and presentation skillsTravel as neededDepending upon your employment status, Hill's comprehensive benefits may include, Medical, Dental, Vision, Employer Paid Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurances, Business Travel Accident Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Flexible Spending Account, Health Savings Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, Commuter Benefits, Legal Assistance, Identity Theft Protection, Pet Insurance, Auto & Home Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Accident Insurance, Hospital Indemnity Insurance, Voluntary Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance.
