While our current focus is within the detention and corrections environment, our long‑term vision includes expansion into other safety‑critical industries. Position Summary We are seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our growing team. This customer‑facing role will primarily support a few of our larger customers across the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the ideal candidate will be based in or near Richmond. While there is some flexibility to work remotely, this position requires regular on‑site presence at customer facilities, as well as travel throughout the state—from Arlington to Suffolk—and occasionally across the U.S. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in detention and correctional environments, including jails and prisons, with occasional direct interaction with inmates. The ideal candidate is reliable, flexible, personable, and eager to grow with a mission‑driven company. You will play a key role in ensuring successful deployments, providing technical training and support, and building strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities Deliver high‑touch, on‑site and remote technical support to law enforcement and corrections customers. Troubleshoot day‑to‑day technical issues and respond to critical customer requests. Train corrections officers and facility staff on how to use OverWatch hardware and software effectively. Perform system deployments, including installation, configuration, and customer onboarding. Support internal product teams with customer feedback and elevate technical challenges as needed. Assist the business development team during demos and occasionally handle sales engagements independently. Provide training and support for internal team members on technical tools and workflows. Travel frequently throughout Virginia—including sites from Arlington to Suffolk—and occasionally to customer sites nationwide. Required Qualifications 5+ years of IT support or field service experience. Reliable personal transportation and willingness to travel regularly throughout the Richmond, VA area and surrounding customer sites. Ability and willingness to be on‑site with customers up to 4–5 days per week, based on customer needs, implementation schedules, training, support, and operational priorities. Excellent communication skills, particularly with senior law enforcement and corrections professionals. Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting. Self‑starter who is comfortable working autonomously in the field. Must have a clean background; candidate may be required to undergo and/or perform occasional background checks in coordination with law enforcement agencies. Comfortable working in detention and correctional environments, including jails and prisons, with occasional direct interaction with inmates. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within a detention facility is a strong plus. Experience in law enforcement, military, or public safety environments is a plus. Project leadership or project management experience. Proficiency with both MacOS and Windows operating systems. Familiarity with networking concepts (routing, switching, firewalls, etc.).
