Overview
Registered Nurse (Med Surg Tele) - Massena, NY. This travel assignment starts on 06/22/2026 for an assignment measured in weeks. Shift is 3x12-hour days. Weekly pay ranges from 1,827 to 1,897 with no guaranteed hours. Work setting: Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit in a Critical Access Hospital. Primary patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Unit census typically around 20 patients with 25 beds. Epic is the charting system used for documentation.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med-Surgical Telemetry unit, including common diagnoses such as COPD, pneumonia, cellulitis, chest pain rule-out, and non-specific abdominal pain
- Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to rhythm changes; participate in Rapid Response/Code Team activities as needed
- Administer IV therapy, start/maintain IV lines, and manage blood products; support PICC and peripheral line care
- Provide non-invasive airway management (BiPAP/CPAP, High-Flow Nasal Cannula) and deliver oxygen therapy as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Imaging, Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, Interpretation services, Unit secretary) to coordinate patient care
- Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols; maintain patient safety and documentation in Epic

Requirements
- Active New York RN license in-hand
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years RN experience in Med-Surgical/Telemetry (note: some internal notes reference 1 year)
- Travel experience required
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
- Education: RN degree (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
- Ability to work in a Med-Surgical Telemetry unit and float as needed
- Comfortable with patient census around 20 and 25-bed unit; weekend coverage as per unit scheduling (EOW)
- Must be able to follow Epic documentation and chart accurately
