Certified Surgical Technologist

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced certified surgical technologist to assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures. The clinician will prepare the operating room, maintain sterile technique, sterilize and prepare instruments and equipment, and support the surgical team to help ensure patient safety and efficient case flow.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited surgical technologist education program prior to start.
• Current national certification from NBSTSA preferred. Preferred status is not required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience in relevant specialties. OR experience must include the specialty listed for the role (examples: Main OR or CVOR).
• For CVOR assignments, 2 years of experience in a cardiac surgical environment is required.
• Experience with high-volume OR settings and a broad case mix including orthopedics, spine, general surgery, breast, urology, robotic-assisted cases, plastics, and cardiothoracic/vascular procedures.
• Ability to document detailed case-proficiency information (skill grid) during the interview process. Orthopedic competency at level 45 preferred for orthopedic-heavy caseloads.

Preferred Qualifications:

• National surgical technologist certification if not already required.
• Experience with robotic cases and advanced instrumentation.
• Experience in teaching or high-throughput hospital operating rooms.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0700-1900.
• Shift pattern: 3x12.
• Traveler radius requirement: candidate permanent address must be 50 miles outside the home unit.
