Senior Principal Architect - Payments Platform

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
• We are looking for 10+ years of Java development experience with proven cloud-native application design expertise.
• We need strong hands-on Java skills, along with experience using open-source frameworks such as Spring Boot, service mesh technologies, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• We expect deep experience with distributed computing and the design of high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• We want demonstrated success handling large data volumes in production environments.
• We need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders.
• We require expert-level knowledge of microservices architecture, API design, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• We need experience with event-driven architectures, streaming, and messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• We require proficiency in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• We want strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modeling at scale.
• We need strong collaboration skills, cross-functional teamwork experience, solid problem-solving ability, and careful attention to detail.
• Preferred: a masters degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Preferred: experience in payments or financial services, plus exposure to reactive programming and asynchronous processing models.
• Preferred: knowledge of advanced performance tuning and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Preferred: experience with data engineering and big data technologies such as Spark, Flink, and the Hadoop ecosystem.
• Preferred: familiarity with Agile/Scrum methods and implementing security frameworks and compliance best practices.
• Preferred: cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
