Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients utilizing standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans designed to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized therapy focused on communication elements such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and their families, keeping them informed and engaged in the healing process.
• Facilitate inpatient evaluations and interventions when required, ensuring smooth transitions in care throughout the entirety of the treatment process.
• Maintain comprehensive and precise documentation that complies with the relevant state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Remain up-to-date with contemporary developments in the field through ongoing education and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified.

Required Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
