Speech Language Pathologist - SLP / Speech Therapist
Transform Lives Through Communication in the Heart of Ohio – Join Us as a Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career where each interaction empowers others to express themselves and connect more deeply — this is exactly what you'll be doing as a Speech Language Pathologist in a flourishing Columbus community. Your role transcends mere treatment of communication and swallowing disorders; you will be a key player in unlocking potential, fostering confidence, and facilitating meaningful connections throughout the lives of your patients, from curious toddlers embarking on their speech journey to resilient seniors reclaiming their voices.
This position offers a valuable opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, spanning all ages in a setting that harmoniously blends outpatient therapy with periodic inpatient responsibilities. Whether your passion lies in guiding children through language development, addressing adult neurogenic challenges, or championing cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation in older adults, you'll discover a fulfilling and flexible career path here.
Conduct thorough assessments for patients across varying age groups, employing both standardized evaluations and observational methods.
Create tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate goals and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
Provide individualized therapy sessions that target communication, language use, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing skills.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop inclusive care plans.
Educate patients and their families to aid progress and reinforce strategies in everyday life beyond therapy sessions.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring consistent and continuing quality of care during the treatment continuum.
Maintain precise and timely documentation that aligns with state, federal, and institutional standards.
Engage in continuous professional development and peer dialogue to stay abreast of advancements in the field.
Completion of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in evidence-based strategies for patients of all ages, alongside a profound understanding of both developmental and acquired disorders related to speech, language, and swallowing.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, families, and the broader care team.
Adaptable therapeutic approaches that honor the diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds of all patients.
Sound clinical judgment and proactive problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
Attractive compensation package reflective of experience.
Flexible working hours ensuring a healthy work-life balance along with varied patient dynamics.
Specialization options available in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, and geriatrics.
Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday remuneration.
A range of insurance options including medical, dental, vision, and life coverage.
Support for continuing education and professional growth opportunities.
A collegial environment that prioritizes collaborative care and lifelong learning.
A Journey That Resonates Across Careers
In this dynamic role, your contribution extends beyond providing exceptional speech therapy. You will participate in a mission that champions the restoration of voices, fosters genuine connections, and celebrates uplifting moments formed through the simple act of understanding each other.
Joining our dedicated team means becoming part of a community where mutual support thrives, and where collaboration is at the forefront of our practice. Every patient brings their individual narrative — we trust you to help them articulate their story.

The creative spirit and innovation of Columbus are palpable throughout its lively streets, where local artists turn urban spaces into canvases and where musicians fuel local scenes with their talent. For you as a professional, the advantageous surroundings only enhance this journey: no state income tax, affordable living, and a thriving healthcare landscape help cultivate a place where your career can flourish.
Whether you're a recent graduate excited to kick off your journey or a seasoned specialist looking to explore new horizons, Columbus offers ample opportunities for both personal and professional development.
Who We're Searching For
We are looking for a Speech Language Pathologist who is inspired by outcomes and guided by compassion. Someone who perceives silence in a child and imagines a future rich in expression, someone who listens to the hesitant speech of a stroke survivor and senses immense resilience.
You could be someone with a focus on pediatrics looking to branch into adult therapies — maybe you're an adult neuro specialist excited to incorporate pediatric modalities into your work.
Whatever your specialization, if you wish to serve with empathy and lead with expertise, we are eager to have you join our team.
Let's Craft Meaningful Connections — Together
If you resonate with the belief that speech entails more than mere words, and therapy extends beyond routines — if you value trust-building as much as goal-setting, and laughter as essential to language — then this could well be the next pivotal chapter in your professional journey.
Join us in a community that champions communication, nurturing connections, and collectively embracing the courage to start anew. Apply now to share your talents with our team and assist others in discovering their voice.
