Responsibilities Construct, maintain, and repair progressive and single-station dies to ensure consistent production output. Design and fabricate custom jigs, fixtures, and specialized tooling to support manufacturing requirements. Develop detailed tooling layouts and assembly drawings to streamline production workflows. Perform precision sharpening and maintenance of dies to extend tool life and improve part quality. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process bottlenecks and implementing effective tooling solutions. Utilize manual grinders, CNC lathes, and vertical mills to execute complex machining tasks. Interpret technical blueprints to ensure accurate setup and operation of tooling equipment. Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent certification. 3+ years of professional experience in tool and die making or precision machining. Demonstrated expertise in metal stamping, forming, and progressive die maintenance. Strong proficiency in manual machining and equipment troubleshooting. Preferred Skills Experience with jig grinding and advanced CNC lathe operation. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 35 pounds. Capacity to maintain focus during extended periods of stationary work.
