This part-time weekend role involves planning and delivering nursing care aligned with established policies and standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess patient conditions and identify care needs effectively.Organize and implement patient care plans tailored to individual requirements.Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.Serve as charge nurse when assigned, overseeing unit operations.Document patient care accurately and comprehensively.Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening situations.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.Participate in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.Adapt care approaches based on patients' age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs.Support patients' cultural and spiritual practices within medical guidelines.EducationAssociate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.ExperienceNo prior experience required; new graduates encouraged to apply.RequirementsCurrent Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the relevant regional licensure.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Effective organizational and leadership abilities.Knowledge of age-specific developmental and psychosocial patient needs.Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift frequently.Ability to safely handle exposure to blood or infectious materials.
