Business Development Representative

The short version We're a growing marketing company, and we're hiring the face of our brand: an outside sales rep who visits local businesses, talks to their owners, and books appointments for our closers. You are not cold-calling from a cubicle and you are not pressure-closing anyone — you're out in the field having real conversations with real business owners, showing them specific problems we found in their marketing, and setting up a free strategy meeting. The closer does the closing. You get paid when the deals you set turn into clients. What we'll pay you $54,000 base salary — guaranteed, not a draw. We pay a real base because we invest in real training. Uncapped commission on every client you help sign: Hit our target pace and you're at $70-80k your first year; top reps clear $90k+. A real career path: Setter - Senior Setter - Closer - Team Lead. Our closers are promoted from this seat, and that's where six figures lives. What makes this different You're trained by a founder. Not a webinar. A founder of the company rides with you door to door — they demonstrate, then you co-pilot, then you fly. Very few companies at any size train sales this way. You'll learn a real, transferable skill set: how to analyze any business's marketing (Google rankings, reviews, ads, websites, AI search), how to open cold conversations, and how to run a professional sales process. This is a sales education you'd normally pay for. You're selling something owners actually want: we lead with a free, custom marketing analysis — real findings about their business — not a generic pitch. Who crushes it in this role Competitors. Former athletes, military, anyone who keeps score and hates losing. This job has a weekly scoreboard. People from rejection-proof jobs: serving, bartending, retail, fundraising, door-to-door, recruiting, collections. If you've stayed friendly through 100 \"no\"s, you already have the hardest skill. Coachable people. No sales or marketing experience required — we'd rather teach a hungry beginner our system than argue with a \"veteran\". If you take feedback and apply it fast, you'll pass people with 10 years of experience. Polished communicators who take pride in how they show up — you'll be the best-dressed, most put-together person to walk into every business on your route, and you'll be remembered for it. Organized self-starters — every door you knock gets logged in our CRM the same day. Discipline is non-negotiable; it's literally how you get paid. Requirements Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license (daily local travel; mileage reimbursed). Available full-time, Monday–Friday, roughly 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Comfortable being on your feet, in the field, talking to strangers most of the day. Smartphone proficiency (CRM app, calendar, quick research on the go). Evidence of work ethic: sports + school, two jobs, top performer at anything. Show us you out-work people.
