Assistant General Manager

Summary A growing commercial plumbing contractor is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to support daily operations within the service division. This role works closely with the Service Manager to help coordinate technicians, manage schedules, and ensure service work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. This is a good fit for someone who has come from the field or service side and is looking to step into a leadership role. Key Responsibilities Support day-to-day operations of the plumbing service department Assist with scheduling and coordination of service technicians Help monitor technician productivity, quality, and job performance Support training, coaching, and development of field staff Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams as needed Assist with reviewing work orders, invoices, and job costing Help track department performance, labor, and workflow Support service agreement management and customer follow-up Ensure safety standards and company policies are being followed Assist with service vehicle, tools, and inventory tracking Requirements 2–5 years of experience in plumbing service or construction Background as a Service Technician or Lead Technician preferred Basic understanding of plumbing systems and service workflows Interest in moving into a leadership or management role Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service‑related systems Valid driver’s license Compensation & Benefits Company vehicle or allowance + gas card Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and PTO Growth path into Service Manager / Operations leadership #J-18808-Ljbffr RIMEPRO INC
