Head Softball Coach

Sussex County Community College is seeking a Part‑Time Head Softball Coach. The Head Softball Coach be responsible for preparing and training the team to compete strongly throughout their season. The ideal candidate should possess a strong knowledge of the sport, excellent motivational skills and the ability to foster teamwork. Main Duties Recruit student-athletes for the Women's Softball program. Conduct productive practice sessions. Coordinate game and practice schedules. Oversee the management of equipment and provide recommendations as needed. Transport student-athletes to and from games and practices as necessary. Supervise the coaching staff. Have a solid background in softball and a willingness to embrace new ideas and philosophies. Communicate effectively and relate well to students. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous playing/coaching of the respective sport preferred. Knowledge of rules associated with sports is required. A valid driver's license is required.
