Maintenance Mechanic I

Your day will start at the Mt Jumbo Shop located in Douglas, but considerable time will be spent working at other facilities around the CBJ. Typical Responsibilities This position will primarily be responsible for assisting with the repair and maintenance of CBJ facilities. Repair and maintenance may include but is not limited to; painting interior and exterior, removing clogs in drain lines, pressure washing, patching walls, inspecting fire extinguisher, and assisting higher-level mechanics with more complex work in the repair and maintenance of facilities. This position will also be responsible for helping to organize and maintain our inventory system and assist with the maintenance of our computer maintenance management system. Minimum Qualifications Experience Two (2) years of experience in the construction and repair of buildings and structures or components at the apprentice or helper level. Other Must possess and maintain own set of hand tools. A valid Alaska Driver's License at the time of appointment and for continued employment . OSHA Requirements This position requires attendance at and certification in CPR, First Aid, and Confined Space.
