Director of Operations

Director of Operations Albuquerque, NM | Full-Time | On-Site Our client is a leading contract manufacturer of aerospace components and assemblies serving aerospace and defense customers. We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Operations to lead all day-to-day operational functions of a precision machining and assembly manufacturing facility. Reporting to the COO, this role will be responsible for driving operational excellence across production, supply chain, materials, shipping/receiving, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership of machining operations, manufacturing expertise, and a data-driven mindset to identify opportunities, streamline operations, and scale the business for future growth. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team across production, supply chain, and support functions Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration Ensure daily execution of production goals, customer delivery timelines, and quality standards Data & Process Improvement Build and utilize dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools to identify trends and guide operational decisions Use data to highlight strengths, address inefficiencies, and support business case development Champion lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives Supply Chain & Materials Oversee materials management, procurement, and supplier performance Ensure inventory accuracy, raw material availability, and timely delivery of customer orders Optimize planning processes to meet customer demand with minimal disruption Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or similiar DESIRED 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing 5+ years in an operational leadership role #J-18808-Ljbffr Confidential
