Job Title: Manufacturing Technician (BAM Tech III) | PAY RANGE : $21-28 Per Hour

Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician (BAM Tech III) executes manufacturing batch records, work instructions, and standard operating procedures in a cleanroom environment with a strong focus on safety, aseptic technique, and right-first-time performance. This role involves weighing, transferring, and mixing chemicals, running in-process analytical tests, maintaining raw material inventory, and ensuring all activities comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The technician supports equipment testing and troubleshooting, participates in continuous improvement initiatives, and maintains accurate documentation and training records.
Responsibilities

• Prepare for and execute manufacturing batch records, work instructions, and SOPs with a strong emphasis on safety and right-first-time execution.
• Weigh, transfer, and mix chemicals accurately in accordance with documented procedures and cGMP standards.
• Document all activities thoroughly and accurately to meet cGMP requirements and support audit readiness.
• Maintain cGMP compliance in all assigned tasks and consistently follow safety procedures, including appropriate use of personal protective equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance and work notification tasks on time to support reliable operation of manufacturing and analytical equipment.
• Perform equipment testing and routine troubleshooting of process and analytical equipment to identify and resolve basic operational issues.
• Draft, review, and revise documents such as batch records, SOPs, and work instructions as needed to support process improvements and compliance.
• Run in-process analytical testing as required to monitor product and process performance.
• Maintain raw materials inventory using systems such as Kanban to ensure adequate supply for production activities.
• Keep training records up to date and complete required training in a timely manner.
• Perform safety inspections and actively participate in safety initiatives to promote a safe working environment.
• Participate in improvement projects and other required activities aimed at enhancing productivity, quality, and safety.
• Engage in shift exchanges and one-on-one discussions to ensure effective communication and handoff of work.
• Attend meetings as necessary to support area needs, respond to changes, and stay informed on process and procedural updates.
• Follow cleanroom and aseptic techniques consistently to protect product integrity and maintain a controlled environment.
• Support production of buffers and media according to established SOPs in a cleanroom setting.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a manufacturing and/or GMP-regulated environment.
• Knowledge of and adherence to cGMP requirements in daily work.
• Ability to follow detailed batch records, work instructions, and SOPs with high accuracy.
• Experience or strong understanding of aseptic technique in a cleanroom or controlled environment.
• Strong math skills, including rounding decimals to the tenth or hundredth, multiplying decimals, and performing unit conversions (such as grams to liters or milliliters to liters).
• Ability to perform in-process analytical testing following established procedures.
• Competence in documenting work clearly and accurately to meet regulatory and quality standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic issues with process and analytical equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to right-first-time execution.
• Ability to maintain compliance with safety procedures and use personal protective equipment appropriately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with aseptic technique in a cleanroom environment is preferred.
• Prior experience working in cleanroom production areas, including buffer and media preparation, is beneficial.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems such as Kanban.
• Comfort working with SOP-driven processes and regulated documentation.
• Willingness to participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
• Ability to work effectively in a structured, process-oriented environment with moderate to high noise levels.

Work Environment
Most positions operate in a cleanroom environment called CORE, where employees follow strict gowning procedures to protect product integrity. This includes specific attire requirements, such as no beards, no fake eyelashes or nails, and no nail polish or other items that could compromise the product. The work setting is typically moderate to high in noise level, and headphones are not allowed to ensure safety and awareness. The role follows rotating 10-hour shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., requiring comfort with extended shifts and a structured schedule. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
