Location: Urbandale, IA (Hybrid 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

About the Role

We are looking for an Accounting Operations Supervisor to lead a team responsible for accurate, timely, and controlled accounting and transaction processing activities. This role will focus on team leadership, operational performance, process improvement, and maintaining a strong control environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of accounting operations professionals.
\n
• Assign and review work, manage priorities, and ensure weekly operational goals are achieved.
\n
• Monitor workflow, productivity, quality, and overall team performance.
\n
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders and communicate policies and procedures clearly.
\n
• Resolve complex operational issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Identify process gaps and implement improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and consistency.
\n
• Drive operational performance through clear targets, prioritization, monitoring, and follow-up.
\n
• Reinforce compliance with established accounting, operational, and control procedures.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n
• 5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance
\n
• Experience leading and coaching a team in an accounting operations, finance operations, or transaction-processing environment.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to assign/review work, manage priorities, and deliver weekly operational objectives.
\n
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain policies/procedures clearly and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
\n
• Proven problem-solving ability, including analyzing issues with broader operational impacts and implementing process changes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fields.
\n
• Experience driving process improvement initiatives.
\n
• Familiarity with controlled financial operations environments.
