What You'll Do
- Monitor residents' mental and physical well-being continuously and report changes to the supervisor
- Receive and accurately implement physician's orders, including medication administration and documentation
- Supervise and assist nursing assistants, ensuring proper care delivery per licensing standards
- Handle resident admissions, discharges, and transfers with thorough documentation
- Collaborate with physicians during resident rounds and communicate care needs effectively
- Administer oxygen, wound care, and other treatments as required
- Ensure infection control practices and safety protocols are followed on the unit
What You Need
Required:- Valid LVN/LPN license
- Experience in Long Term Care or related setting
- Knowledge of resident care standards and medication administration
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Prior experience supervising nursing staff
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation procedures
About the Assignment This assignment is located in a rural area approximately 2 hours from Boston, MA. The facility provides long-term care services, focusing on enhancing residents' quality of life through compassionate and professional nursing care. Please note candidates must have their own transportation due to limited public transit options in the area.
