Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 6:45 AM – 7:45 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend coverage required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a dedicated oncology unit serving Hematology, Medical Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), and Gynecologic & Surgical Oncology populations
• Deliver care within a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, including patients in a 7-bed positive pressure wing for BMT and acute leukemia patients
• Assist with and support bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
• Administer medications using barcode medication administration and Epic-integrated Alaris IV pumps
• Float to other units as required per facility policy
• Respond to facility emergency events as directed by unit management when assigned to an emergency team

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Oncology nursing
• Active Compact or Louisiana RN license in hand at time of submittal
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (address on driver's license used for verification)
• Current NURSYS report submitted with profile (within 4 weeks of submission date)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification preferred
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps, SCD machines, and barcode medication administration systems
